Getting started

Setting up your staff account

The few screens you see the first time you sign in as staff. Most people only choose a password; a few are asked about themselves too.

Updated 5 October 2026

  1. The welcome screen greets you by your madressah’s name. Press the button on it, then type the password you were given and your new one twice. Press Set my password.

The new password needs at least eight characters, and can’t be the one you were given.

  2. If the office hasn’t added your details yet, the app asks for them over a few short screens: your name, your date of birth and mobile number, your home address, who to call in an emergency, and your role at the madressah.

Anything you don’t have to give is a link rather than an empty box, such as Add a second number or Add pay, a payroll number or what you teach. Press Save my details on the last screen.

Choose a title from the chips, or type your own.
  3. Set up the madressah, if you’re the head

Section titled “Set up the madressah, if you’re the head”

The person setting up a new madressah is also asked which days it teaches and between which hours. These decide when a register is expected. Press Finish setting up when they’re right. Everyone else skips this.

  4. The last screen says you’re in. Press Open Madrasaty to start.

Your address, date of birth, next of kin and pay are seen by your madressah’s administrators only. Colleagues can be shown your name, role, email address and phone number, and nothing more.

You can’t open the rest of the app until these screens are done; that’s on purpose, so nobody starts work with a temporary password or an incomplete record.

If you close the page while telling us about you, what you’ve typed is kept on that computer or phone, and the app picks up where you left off. It’s cleared when you log out, so on another device you start that part again.

The line under the card says who is signed in. If it isn’t you, press Not you? Sign out.
