Writing a notice for your class

Write to the families or staff of one of your classes, see who it will reach, and publish it.

Write it
Section titled “Write it”Go to Notices and press Create. Give the notice a Title and write the Message.
Choose who it’s for
Section titled “Choose who it’s for”Choose the Class, then the Audience:
- Parents: the families of every child in the class.
- Staff: the staff who teach the class.
- Everyone: both.
Under Options, choose Urgent only if it really is: it’s marked urgent for everyone who receives it. Set an Expires on date if the notice stops mattering after a day, such as a trip. Leave it blank to keep the notice up.
At the foot of the form, the app counts who will receive it, and how many have no login yet: they won’t see it in the app.
Save the draft
Section titled “Save the draft”Press Save draft. Nothing has been sent yet: you see the notice as it will look, and can Edit it until it reads right.
Attach a file under the message adds a letter or a form, up to 10 MB.
Publish it
Section titled “Publish it”Press Publish. The app tells you how many people it’s going to, and warns you if any have no login or it’s urgent. Press Publish again to send it.
Read the count: it’s your last chance to change who it goes to.
Made a mistake?
Section titled “Made a mistake?”You can still edit a published notice’s wording and dates. If you change the wording or the priority, the app asks before saving: everyone who received it will see it as unread again.
Who it’s for can’t change once it’s published. To reach different people, ask an administrator to archive it, then write a new one. Only administrators can archive a notice.
