Open the closures
Section titled “Open the closures”Go to Attendance and press the calendar button beside the search box. This opens your madressah’s school week, with Holidays and closures underneath. Press Add a closure.
Choose the class and the days
Section titled “Choose the class and the days”Under Applies to, choose One class, then the class. Pick the First day closed and the Last day closed: the same day for a single day. Add a Reason, such as “Teacher at a funeral”: the register shows it on those days.
Press Add closure.
Tell the families
Section titled “Tell the families”Open the closure you’ve just added and press Tell everyone about this closure. It writes a draft notice for you on the noticeboard. Check the wording, then publish it as you would any notice: Writing a notice for your class has the details.
What a closure changes
Section titled “What a closure changes”On those days the class shows as Cancelled on the attendance board and is never listed as outstanding. Opening its register shows your reason. Nothing else about the class changes.
Changing or removing it
Section titled “Changing or removing it”Closures are listed as On now, Coming up and Recent. Press one to change its dates or reason, then Save closure. Which class it applies to can’t be changed: delete it and add another instead.
Delete closure is inside it too. Once you confirm, a register is expected again on those days.
If it won’t save
Section titled “If it won’t save”If the class isn’t one of yours, or the first day has passed, the app says so under the fields. Ask an administrator to add the closure for you.
