Your madressah is in charge
Section titled “Your madressah is in charge”Your madressah decides what it records in Madrasaty, why, and for how long. Madrasaty looks after those records for it, and never uses them for anything of its own. We never sell personal information and never use it for advertising.
Who can see what
Section titled “Who can see what”- Teachers see their own classes.
- Parents see their own children, and only the children the madressah has linked to them.
- Your madressah’s administrators see everything at that madressah.
The reason a guardian gives for an absence is often about a child’s health, so it’s shown only to the child’s class teacher and the madressah’s office. None of it is shared with anyone outside the madressah.
Where it’s kept
Section titled “Where it’s kept”The app’s records and their backups are stored in the UK, in London. Each madressah’s records are kept apart from every other madressah’s, everything is encrypted on its way to you and where it’s stored, and nobody, including us, can see your password.
What’s kept on your phone or computer
Section titled “What’s kept on your phone or computer”Only what keeps you signed in: your session, which madressah and account type you last used, and whether you chose light or dark mode. No cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. The cookie notice lists each item.
Your rights
Section titled “Your rights”You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, have it corrected, and in some cases ask for it to be deleted or for its use to be limited.
For anything inside the app, ask your madressah first: they’re in charge of your records, and we’ll help them answer.
Questions or worries
Section titled “Questions or worries”Ask your madressah, or email us at info@madrasaty.co.uk. The privacy notice also explains how to complain if you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled.
