Publishing a notice

Write to the whole madressah, a class, parents or staff, see who it will reach, and send it.

Updated 5 October 2026

  1. Go to Notices and press Create. Give it a Title and write the Message.

  2. Under Scope, choose Whole school or Class, and for a class, which one. Then the Audience: Everyone, Parents or Staff.

    • For the whole madressah, Parents means every active guardian, and Staff every active member of staff.
    • For a class, Parents means the families of the children in it, and Staff the staff who teach it.

At the foot of the form, the app counts who will receive it, and how many have no login yet.

  3. Under Options, choose Urgent only when it really is: it’s marked urgent for everyone who receives it. Set Expires on if the notice stops mattering after a date; leave it blank to keep it up until it’s archived.

Press Save draft. Nothing is sent yet. You see the notice as it will look, and can Edit it, or Attach a file (up to 10 MB) such as a letter or a form.

  4. Press Publish. The app says how many people it’s going to, how many without a login won’t receive it, and whether it’s urgent. Press Publish again to send it.

Once it’s sent it can’t be recalled, and who it’s for can’t be changed.

Press Edit to correct its wording or dates. If you change the wording or the priority, the app asks first, because everyone who received it will see it as unread again.

To reach different people, archive it and write a new one.

Press Archive on a notice and confirm. It comes out of everyone’s list and stays in the madressah’s history. It can’t be restored. Only administrators can archive, whoever wrote the notice.

Telling families about a holiday or a closed class? Open the closure under School settings and press Tell everyone about this closure. It writes a draft for you; check the wording, then publish it as above.

The Overview says how many drafts haven’t been sent yet, and pressing that line shows them.
